“Joelle hits the ground running with students, and never looks back. From Day 1 she is communicating industry standards for best practice and professionalism and ensuring that students have the knowledge and the tools necessary to achieve them. She is patient, detail-oriented, and a stellar communicator. When my students finish working with Joelle I know they will be more complete artists and even better young adults because of her guidance through the artistic process. Can’t recommend her enough.”

“Joelle is an absolute Sacramento treasure. I asked Joelle to step in and stage manage a show for me at Hawkins School of Performing Arts and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and organized. Joelle is not only professional and incredible at what she does, but she is fun, energetic and inspires the artistic environment around her. Can’t wait to work with her again!”

“I had the pleasure of working alongside Joelle for several events that she managed and her attention to detail and consistency was refreshing. Joelle is able to think about all sides to a project from logistics to marketing and design and coordinate them without a hitch. Her ability to start mid project and get everything and everyone organized simply amazes me. Joelle is, hands down, one of the most organized event managers in Sacramento!”

“I had the privilege of getting to know Joelle during the planning and execution of the California Arts Council’s 40th anniversary celebration. This sold-out special event was held at the Crest Theater in Sacramento, hosted by the acclaimed actress Annette Bening and featuring performances from more than 100 artists. Attendees included Governor Jerry Brown and dozens of members of the California legislature.

I was introduced to Joelle when hiring several event staff via Unseen Heroes to support various needs for our celebration at the Crest. Joelle’s talents were abundantly clear to me from our first planning meeting. Her expertise in both event planning and theater production made her the perfect fit to support our special event. After that first meeting with Unseen Heroes team, Joelle was such a standout that I immediately promoted her to serve as the stage manager for our entire production. She excelled in this position. As stage manager for our event, Joelle served as the lead liaison for all of our participating professional and student artists. She developed an effective run of show, managed a complex day-long rehearsal, and led a backstage team of six staff and volunteers to ensure the live show went off without a hitch.

Joelle is highly organized, efficient, and responsible. She is an incredibly hard worker who excels not just because of her many skills, but also because her passion and positivity in managing complex and challenging situations and her uncanny ability to keep cool under pressure. Our milestone event was a success un large part due to Joelle’s leadership as a stage manager. Joelle is now at the top of my list for supporting future event needs of the California Arts Council.

Joelle is a local standout- and I truly believe the Sacramento region needs dedicated, passionate managers like Joelle if the creative sector is to survive and thrive. I'd recommend Joelle without hesitation.”

Weddings

“After I got engaged, the first thing I did was decide I wanted Joelle as my day-of coordinator.  Both Steven and I have had the pleasure of sharing a stage with her, as well as taking her direction as our stage manager in the past.  We both agreed that she was the best stage manager we have worked with and would be perfect to wrangle our eccentric and energetic family and bridal party. I was immediately impressed by her thoughtfulness and attention to detail, especially considering we were her first official wedding! She even thought of details that I had missed!

Our wedding had almost as many details and elements as a three ring circus, and Joelle handled it all with beauty, composure, and grace.  She juggled all of our events and put out fires left and right.  I still have our guests telling me it was the best wedding they had ever been to.  Joelle really made sure everything went smoothly and kept me relaxed.  We are forever grateful for her!!”

“Joelle is the best person and vendor I chose to incorporate into our wedding process. Hands down, she’s was the best money well spent. The words I keep hearing after the wedding are, “your wedding went so smooth!”

Joelle’s history of being a professional stage manager is what gave me piece of mind. She’s a woman with a long history of getting shit done. That’s why I knew, without a doubt, I could trust her. I trusted she would get things done, I trusted her judgement, and I trusted her with my entire wedding.

For someone who carries a great deal of anxiety, it was important to me that my wedding day be blissful and zen as possible. Not only was it calm, Joelle was calm and I myself had time to just hang out. We stayed on schedule, all the important pieces were done with a smile and she managed to transform into a rockin outfit within minutes of the ceremony. I swear the girl has magical powers.

Hire this woman! You will thank your married self for it.”
